Dear Sir:
We have just completed the retesting of the twenty (20) forklifts that we installed the Clean Air Flow Catalysts on. The Clean Air Flow Catalysts were installed on the forklifts in the first week of May 1998, each installation took approximately 30 minutes. A full and comprehensive report will be forwarded to you in the next few days which will include copies of the actual individual emissions tests on the forklifts and the sweeper.
To summarize our findings on the fuel efficiency testing both before installation and after installation I can say that our fuel efficiency has increased between 25% and 30% on the forklifts after installation of the catalysts. The increased fuel efficiency allows the lift operators to spend less time per shift refueling and changing out fuel cylinders on the lifts.
The harmful emissions in the worst polluting lift was reduced from 1980 PPM of hydrocarbons and 9.05% carbon monoxide to zero (0) hydrocarbons and 0.00% for carbon monoxide, which equates to a 100% reduction in both cases. The emissions reductions on the other lifts generally range from 90% to 99% in both the hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide gases.
