COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) USES OF THE CLEAN AIR FLOW CATALYST It is very important to understand that if the Clean Air Flow Catalyst is
installed on any CNG engine that the installation must be made on the
low pressure side. The CNG operation pressures can be 4000 psi or
greater. The normal requirements for packaging any product that is used
on a CNG high pressure fuel system is set at five (5) times the operating
system's working pressure of 4000 psi, for a total of a 20,000 psi rating.
These requirements are set by the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) and
must be followed.
Texas Railroad Commission approval is required prior to any high pressure installations on CNG systems. Installation on the low pressure side does not require state approval. The Texas Railroad Commission is the governing authority in the State of Texas for all CNG fuel system applications. Clean Air Flow Inc. will not be responsible for any damages or injuries that may occur due to the improper use of installation of the Clean Air Flow Catalyst on any Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) high pressure side of the fuel system. |
